This Christmas

So I'm currently lying on my bed typing this post on my iPhone. Too lazy to get up to just on my com. These 2 weeks of holiday is just too short for me. Aft tmr, it'll be a week gone and I'm only left with 1 more. There's just too much to revise. IM JUST A TAD WORRIED FOR FA AND BS. Sighh. Really hope I can just miraculously comprehend them ASAP before sch reopens..

Moving on to this year's festive season: I don't feel any excitement knowing that today's the eve of Xmas. To me, it's just another usual weekend. Just that I've noticed more people carrying bigger shopping bags and cakes around.

A couple of days back(including today), I've been to town a couple of times and I see the word SALE everywhere. It's just too tempting and enticing. There are times that I would just want to buy the entire shop!! That extreme/
So... I've been hunting around for my CNY clothings and so far....... I've only gotten my shoes. :/ Sighh.
Oh well I shall continue shopping again aft Xmas as there will always be POST XMAS SALE!!! ;)

On a lighter note, I'm heading to Malacca in a couple of days.. Gonna try my luck there for some accessories and clothings.. Heheh.

Ok so that's enough for today!!
I'll catch you soon folks!! ;)
MERRY XMAS ONCE AGAIN EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

Neglection

These few beautiful moments of my life.

I know I've left this space for isolation for a pretty long period of time. I've always wanted to update as often as I can but time just wouldn't allow me to do so. I've been god damn busy with school, tests after tests and dance. No time for social life.. Only recently, I smelled a tiny-winy bit of "freedom". But I know it will only be temporary for just a mere 2 weeks. After the pathetic 2 weeks, it will be just another hectic cycle all over again.. I really wish for everything to just slow down in speed and not zoom pass me without me knowing/

I'll catch you soon~

The musical

So I've noticed that I was away from this space for quite some time. Reason being that either I just have too little time or I've forgotten the content of the day itself..

CURRENTLY TAKING THE WAITING TIME TO BLOG.. Heheh. I felt that this sem I spent almost 80% of my time in dance.. I ALMOST NEGLECTED MY STUDIES and this is bad:/

To add on, I'VE BEEN SLEEPING AT UNEARTHLY HOURS FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS. I feel so lethargic.

OH DID I MENTIONED THAT I JUST CREATED TWITTER?!?! HAHAHA. Yes yes I'm a mountain tortoise who doesn't have social network plus life. Hahaha. So follow me on twitter @vanthn.
THANKS BABEHHHH^.^
Catch you soon!!

Breathing Space

Back again on blogger.

Had been really busy for the past 5 days with F1 event and dance camp back to back. For the past 3 days of F1 I practically ended work in the wee hours of the morning (3 to 4 am) The time I slept was the time where most people would have gotten up alr.

I was at the PODIUM LOUNGE(poolside party) @ The Ritz Carlton serving and clearing alcohol after alcohol and cigarettes after cigarettes. Sucha tiring job. Throughout the 3 days I was so afraid that I would take the wrong orders from the guests as they were those VVIP. Mind you, they are not just 'V'. My team were in-charge of sponsors like "Vertu" (if you are not aware, it is a really expensive handphone that costs at least 50k) They have a branch at Ion Orchard if I am not wrong..

Saw really pretty sports cars that were on showcase/display. The plus fact was that they were not launched or out in the market yet. Moving on to the Auction session where I see people splurging on few grands just for a racer's helmet or body suit with their signature on it. I was thinking: " Hmm, what are you gonna do with this helmet? Was it worth it?"

There was also a fashion show. Woah, the international models were at least 1.85m and above. I felt like a midget standing next to them. Oh and also, they make people look fat. They were so scrawny and lean with a couple of abs. Just a last sentence from me: They put Singaporeans to shame. (with their height)

Oh and only on the last night I actually physically popped a champagne bottle for the guests. It was my first and raw attempt. HAHAH. It was really nerve-racking but thanks to the patience of the guests.

And right after F1 was my dance camp. I was physically and mentally drained throughout the 3 days. Though the camp was short but it was really fun. Gossip sessions was always loved and treasured. HAHAH. It was eat sleep dance. (with some games alongside) :)

I have another more practice later in the afternoon.

Stay tuned for more updates!!~

Quality Time

Out the day before ytd with gillian to several places: Chinatown, Haji etc..

Had a yummy and filling feast at "Yum Cha". We practically landed ourselves servings of food after food. (Not only dim sum) Saw "tu tu kueh" alongside and bought it. (Imma really big eater.. Hehehhe)

Took a slow stroll along streets of chinatown. Was mistook for tourists by some shops when we asked for the prices of some items and their start price were really high... They gave us a deep look; analysing our nationality.

PS: I think I will be knocked out the whole of next week with F1 starting just tmr (saying hello to becoming a nocturnal animal as I end at around 2am for the next 3 days) and dance camp follows immediately after that..

Now thinking whether I really made a mistake in joining the F1 event... hmmmmm..
Look out for the next update pretty soon!!~

A Dare

Oh did I mention that I was offered a free hair cut by 'Toni&Guy' about a week ago? Shirl Joyce and Me were stopped by a man scouting for people or should I say "heads with long hair?" for the salon. So the truth was..... they needed "guinea pigs" to let their trainee stylists to have hands-on practice with the guidance of the professional stylist. A question was posed to us: "Are you comfortable with a major change in your hair length?" I was almost hesitant to go for it when I heard that and my first and candid reply was "HUH?!?!?". Then after, the stylist told us that they were experimenting with creative cutting. This got me quite curious and so I went for it.

We sat down and the professional stylist came to us individually to ask us what hair styles we have in mind and gave advise on which hair style was best for us. He began whipping out markers; started drawing the outline of our heads, hair length and which direction to cut accordingly on the mirror. I found it really unique at how they teach the trainees how to go about cutting different styles "step-by-step". Pretty cool.

I was given a "star" parting on my head coupled with massive layering. (I can pass of as having concave/short hair if I were to hide the bottom half of my hair underneath. Heheheh)

So.. after a long and sleepy 3 hours spent at the salon with all the washing, blowing and cutting, I kinda had more volume added to my hair. HAHAHA. Well, I felt that it looked the same as my current but it feels less thicker and different when I tie/bun it up.

Sawatdee Kaa~

After 3 days in Bangkok, I am back in Singapore now. Bangkok treated me really well with good/cheap buys, unique street food, countless shopping malls/street markets etc. The moment I stepped into Suvarnabhumi airport(Thailand) I started missing Bangkok. Sigh... I can stay there for as long as I can if language was not a barrier.

Well, one thing that I felt uncomfortable was being stared at. When people stare at me I would tend to think that there is something wrong with what I am wearing or there is something on my face etc. Well after the 1st day, I slowly took it as their "habit". HAHAH. The weather could be compared to Singapore's weather and I when I had my shades on, I invited more stares.... But at least when I look back at them, they can't see my eye movement. Hahah. So that was so much better. I don't feel awkward anymore. :)

I didnt really take alot of pictures as the streets were really cramped and uneven plus the fact that they were famous for pick-pocketing. So I rarely took out my camera when I felt that it was unsafe.I have been also feeding myself quite alot.. From the start of the day: Buffet breakfast from the Hotel and End of the day: snacks like tom yam cup noodles(yummie) etc. The food courts in the shopping centres have a different/unique way of collecting "money" from the food we ordered. Firstly, we have to check the price of what we want to eat and then head to the coupon booth to purchase the required amount of coupons that you would need to use. I find that quite a hassle though.. (walking up and down)

I love shopping at those street markets and stalls that are non air-conditioned as I CAN BARGAIN!! It would be good if you can go together with groups of 3-5 people as you can definitely get low and cheap buys because it is mostly wholesale. So the more you buy the cheaper it is!! Also, they have a habit of asking you to press the calculator to state how much you are willing to offer for that item. When this comes, I am really very scared because they seem really eager and desperate for business. When you start bargaining with them, you better be prepared to buy it as by walking away, they will get very mad at you. One more thing: They do not have proper/fix designated position where they set up their stalls, they normally move around.

The clothes can be as cheap as 4 dollars per piece. The clothes I see there is exactly what I see in shops like bugis street and fareast plaza. Thinking of it now, I felt cheated buying those clothes for bugis and fareast. The range in prices are far to much. Bought what I needed and felt really "full" from shopping.

Time to tune back to Spore's life. Need to forbid myself from shopping.

I'll catch you soon!!~~~~

Through The Pinhole

Met up with the "oldies" yesterday at school. (Not all of them though..)

Time to start on something productive.

Lying on my bed, I hear the clock ticking for me.

Everyday passes so fast without me knowing. I always thought that staying at home, time passes slower compared to when you are out with friends etc. Well, now no I no longer hold this stand. As I'm typing this, it is already in the mid afternoon. The morning was spent watching "Dear John" myself. Miraculously, it kept me occupied till about noon.

Why the rush in finding for jobs this holiday?!? It is only a month.. Don't they want to spend time with their friends? Are they that hard up for money? This vacation, one should go for a short getaway instead. I am pretty sure the next semester is not any kinder to us. Recharge and get every ready for sem 2!!

Forever & Always

Another staying @ home day today..

Sunday: went for a "shopping spree" at F21. This is the season that I always love- Tribal printz!! Saw too many pretty pieces. I somehow couldn't figured out some of their pricing of their clothings. A pair of denim shorts can cost 35$ while a full length denim can just cost only 17$. You see the major difference here? It goes the same for some tops and dresses...

Monday: Out for a "meaty" buffet at Seoul Garden. (Ate most of their meat) Yummmeee~ It was a pity that the food were out of stock at a speed of lightning. It was a good thing that we went early though:) Couldn't squeeze in dinner when I went home.

Tuesday: Out to Holland V for food. The place has a few nooks and corners. Narrow driving lanes coupled with yuppies. Saw quite a number of uncouth people there too. It's pretty much of an equal mixture.

Thursday: Going back to KC for teachers' day celebration. I miss the school!! :\(Even though I live less than 1 km from it) Cannot wait to step into the school with fond memories.
Heading to dance @ school in the late afternoon/evening in preparation for Muse.

Sunday: Training at The Riz Carlton in preparation for F1. Thinking of it makes me feel drained..

Andddd.......
I won't be in Spore the following weekend. I'll be flying of to Bangkok from 11 to 13 sept!!!!!!!!!! Hehehe. So excited~~~ I somehow cannot control my ecstatic self. :)

You Had My Heart Inside

So this was on Monday-our first formal presentation as a class after 15 weeks of normal presentation. :) Everyone looked so clean, fresh and ready for the working world. (judging by the way they don on their shirts, ties and blazers) Hehehhe.

Monday is going to be the last lesson with my class. After which we will all be changing classes. How I hope that there will be nice and friendly people. :) I dread for this day to come.... I'll be having a 1 week study break next week in preparation for my last test to sum this semester up. To say that I am not afraid would be a lie. Hence, I really hope whatever I am soon going to revise will somehow be of good use. Really very scared~~~

Oh, NATIONAL DAY WAS A FEW DAYS AGO. SO HOW WAS THE CELEBRATION? While all JCs, primary and secondary schools were having a nice 2 days holiday. I was only having one. :\ This..... is not equal.

OK, MOVING ON.... I'll be going down to Riz Carlton tmr for job allocation for F1 event. Gonna be in slippers even though they stated that we have to dressed in "smart-casual". What to do? (waiting for the toenail to heal....) I'm keeping away from dance from the time being due to this. I hope to bounce right back then after!

AND..... ON SUNDAY WOULD BE AN EXCITING DAY!!

COME DOWN TO THE FLEA @ *SCAPE ON THIS COMING SUNDAY(14/8) FROM 2-8pm!! My friends and I will be setting up a booth selling pre-loved apparels at REASONABLY LOW PRICES!!!!

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!!!!!!!!!

Another Phase

I've been dead tired from school and dance. Both are occupying a large proportion of my time and I can only (sometimes) find rest towards the end of the week, like today. But still, I have many things to do on hand. Thinking of it makes me feel up-tight. :\

Another 2 more weeks time and I'll have my formal week/presentation. I am really not looking forward to that. The boys in my class are so excited because they can wear suits. (I dont see how exciting is that....) Suits=hot, stiff, too proper. To add on, you have to be mindful of your actions and behaviours when you donned on a suit. How troublesome!!

I just realised that I've been grumbling and lamenting alot. It took up 2 paragraphs of this post. HAHAH. Oh well, I'm sorry. Hehehe.

Stay tune for the next update!!! ^.^

The Railway

So this was my last weekend spent at the track. Sad to say, it is going to be demolished... :(

Had a really tiring and long walk(from Bukit Panjang Plaza----- Rail Mall) The track was rocky making it difficult to walk fast. My legs felt sore then after/

Had DANCE ytd and I woke up with an aching body. I feel like I'm already 80 years old when I'm not even nearing there. Time to train my stamina!~

This weekend, I will be off for a couple of fleas with the girls. Pretty EXCITED!!!!!!^.^

Another 3 more weeks and there will be a change of classes alreadyyyyyyyyyyyy. I'm dreading this. :\

Back On Board!!

I've just realised that I was off this space for quite some time. Ok, so this would be my first post after completing my first round of tests. And also to let you know, I'm in the midst of the second one thoughhhh.. Urghh. :\

So meet my loud, disturbing, friendly pals above. HAHAHAH. Btw, the photos were taken today during my Organisational Behaviour lesson. Yes, needless to say... We were kinda free, besides the fact that today we covered ways of negotiating. I felt that it was really not neccessary to have 2 opposing parties physically negotiating. It somehow led to tension in the class? There were times when unhappiness broke out and it was really messy.... As for me, I strayed away from that chaos.

Now that I am moving closer to the end of Year 1 Sem 1, I feel a sense of nostalgia in me. To think that all of us have to change classes without barely being together for at least half a year. And yes if you are wondering, the school has this concept of changing class after every 4 months which is every one semester. They feel that it is important to work with as many people as possible and get as "many" friends.. Moving on to Sem 2 is a whole lot of different life. Formal attire sets in coupled with more business modules. I'm actually quite scared for it? No more sandals and shorts for me:'(

HARD TO ADAPT. BUT YA... NO CHOICE~~~Sighhhhh//

Mash Ups

Been eyeing on these YSL art oval rings. Particularly the navy blue one^.^ So elegant and classic!!!!~

To sum my week up, I'm finally done for the first round of UT. The next Understanding Test will be the start of July. So as you can see, there's no time to lag behind. The 5 days in a week for me is like a roller coaster- there's no time to stop and day dream but think continuously. I have to even use my brains for dance. The weekends are not even a short getaway for me if you see the situation I am in now. I dont smell anymore long breaks for the time being. I feel so sad without them... :\

Currently hooked onto Sam Tsui's covers and mash up for the latest songs. Really refreshing and pleasing to the ears. His vocals are on the higher range though.

Heading to the newly opened Editor's Market tmr @ OC. :) Excited for the fashion there. Hehehe/

Assemble Moments

Had GE briefing at SMU today with Valerie. We will be ushers for the Great Eastern's Women Run on 3 July at MBS sector. Guess the time we have to be there....... it's 430am-1130am :O Say goodbye to proper sleeping routine on that day.. But pretty excited for it at the same time. :) Hehhehe.

My nails for the past 1.5 weeks or so........

PS: While others are just starting their short term break. Mine has just ended pretty quickly:\

Routine is back on board on Monday. A late day for me.
